Hunan Tatevosyan, 35 years old
I brought my laptop from Artsakh with me, and also the pin "Grandpa and Grandma" that Tsovinar gave me back during the blockade days. During the 2020 war in Stepanakert, only two journalists remained — everyone else left, the city was deserted. Possibly, she was the only woman left. We would go out into the city, not often, but we would meet. And when we saw that a light was on in one window, then in another building it lit up, and then another... and so on, we were overjoyed. When we heard a child's voice in the yard, we rejoiced. I wanted Stepanakert to live, to be filled with sounds, as it was before.
After the war, people returned to the city, but then in 2023, the blockade came. At one point, the Red Cross vehicles were still allowed into the city, and she managed to pass the pin to me through them, by hook or by crook. I brought this pin from Artsakh, along with my photographs. At this moment, it is the most precious thing I could bring from my home.
